microblading service

Aftercare Instructions for Microblading, Powder Brows, and Nano Brows:

  • DAY 1: 30 minutes after your procedure, use a wipe to thoroughly clean the tattooed area. Do not stretch the skin while wiping, but be sure to work off any lymphatic fluid or previously applied ointments. Skin is well cleaned when there are no traces of pigment left on the wipe. Wait a minute for skin to air dry, then apply a thin layer of ointment (about half a grain of rice size). Repeat this process every 3-4 hours the first 24 hours, (or as directed for your skin type).
  • DAYS 2-10: For normal/dry skin, apply a small amount of ointment as needed when the area feels tight or dry (approximately 1-3 times per day). For oilier skin, apply ointment sparingly, only if the tattooed area feels tight or dry). The tattooed area should never be greasy, and you should only ever apply enough ointment to hydrate the skin. Limit hot showers to 5 mins, or take lukewarm showers, as to not create too much steam. Wash hair at the end of your shower, so that if any water splashes on the tattooed area, you can dry off as quickly as possible. You may also use an eye shield during the shower to keep your face dry.
  • AVOID FOR 10 DAYS (OR AS LONG AS THE TATTOOED AREA IS FLAKING): Wetting the area, and ALL products, EXCEPT the products recommended by your artist. This includes MAKEUP. Avoid sweating, (including workouts and saunas), steaming, facials, sleeping on the tattooed area, (also, please use a clean pillowcase), and activities or items which may disturb the tattooed area (ie- eyelash extensions, or wearing hats or ski goggles that touch the tattooed area).
  • AVOID FOR 30 DAYS: Chemical peels, exfoliating facials, and microdermabrasion. ALWAYS AVOID: Sun bathing/direct sun exposure on the tattooed area (always wear an SPF of 30+), and creams containing regenerative factors (retinoids, glycolics, etc) on the tattooed area). Advise your laser tech of any tattooed areas before receiving laser treatments, as going over the tattooed area can destroy pigments and burn your skin. Antibiotic usage and hormone therapies may result in faster pigment fading.

***DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH THE TATTOOED AREA AS IT IS HEALING, OR YOU WILL LOSE PIGMENT AND CAUSE SCARRING.***

    • PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A NEW TATTOO AND SHOULD BE CARED FOR LIKE AN OPEN WOUND. DO NOT OVER SATURATE WITH HEALING BALM AND DO NOT LET THE LIPS GET TOO DRIED OUT.
    • Apply after-care balm several times a day for 10 days.
  • DAY 2: The lips may still be swollen today. Make sure you keep them moisturized with Aquaphor or an aftercare balm (do not apply ice this will cause bruising).
