Lip Blush

Lip Blush

Do you struggle with uneven lip pigmentation or natural lip pigmentation fading with age? Are you tired of reapplying makeup products that wear off or smudge after eating and drinking?

The Archery offers lip blush tattooing that will give you a long-wearing lip tint that subtly enhances the color and shape of your lips with zero effort. This semi-permanent lip color lasts up to three years and can even out patchy lip pigmentation, add color back to lips for a youthful glow, and even make your lips appear plumper.

Lip Blush Tattoo

Lip blushing is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo service that involves using a small handheld machine to shade pigment into the upper layers of the lip tissue to create a soft, natural-looking tint. Lip blush tattooing can correct uneven lip color, add definition to the lip line, and create the illusion of fuller lips.

Cosmetic Lip Tattoo Aftercare

POST PROCEDURE – DAY ONE

Your skin will start slowly releasing lymph fluid right after your procedure. This is a common healing process for our bodies! Wipe your lips every 1-2 hours in order to remove excess lymph and reduce any scabbing that may occur. Lips normally feel swollen, dry, chapped, tight and tender to the touch, they will feel better with each day. Use wipe provided every 1-2 hours post procedure until bedtime. After your last wipe but before sleeping, apply aquaphor or a healing balm and you’re all set for day one! Sometimes light bruises may occur, even after the procedure is over. It is normal and will disappear after a few hours. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A

NEW TATTOO AND SHOULD BE CARED FOR LIKE AN OPEN WOUND. DO NOT OVER SATURATE WITH HEALING BALM AND DO NOT LET THE LIPS GET TOO DRIED OUT. Apply after-care balm several times a day for 10 days.

DAY TWO

The lips may still be swollen today. Make sure you keep them moisturized with Aquaphor or an aftercare balm (do not apply ice this will cause bruising).

DAY THREE TO SEVEN

Keep moisturizing with aftercare balm as needed! Some flaking or peeling may occur- this is normal.

IMPORTANT AFTERCARE INFO – Do this every day from day 1 to day 7

Do not smoke Do not peel or pick any dry skin/ scabs. Keep the lips moisturized with Aquaphor or grapeseed oil only (no vaseline, antibiotic creams, neosporene, etc.) During the first 4 weeks post procedure, refrain from using exfoliants, acids and anti-aging serums on the area near and around the lips.

FAQs

Below, we provide answers to some of the most common questions about our Lip Blush Tattoo service. Whether you’re considering getting the treatment or you already have, this section will provide you with helpful information on everything from the procedure itself to aftercare and maintenance.
What Should I do to Prepare for a Lip Blushing Procedure?

Before the procedure, it is important to follow certain guidelines to ensure the best possible outcome. Refrain from working out 24 hours prior to the appointment, and avoid alcohol, caffeine, or stimulants.

Sun exposure and tanning should be avoided one week before the procedure, and certain supplements and medications, such as Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, and Advil/Ibuprofen, should not be taken 24 hours before the procedure. Additionally, Retin-A, Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), and certain vitamins should be discontinued at least two weeks before the procedure. It is important to wait 2 months after lip fillers and 6 months after implants before getting lip blush tattooing.

How Long Does Lip Blush Take to Heal?

The healing process for lip blush tattooing usually takes around 7-10 days, with some variation depending on the individual’s skin type and healing process. During this time, the lips may be swollen, tender, and slightly darker than the final result. It’s important to avoid touching or picking at the lips and to follow aftercare instructions carefully to ensure proper healing and long-lasting results.

How Long Does Lip Blush Last?

The color from lip blush tattooing can last between 1.5 to 3 years before requiring maintenance. It’s important to note that lip blush is typically a 2-3 step process and full results should not be expected after one treatment. During the healing process, the lip pigment will fade by 50% in the first 5 days and remain in a ‘light phase’ for a month. While lip blush is not intended as a substitute for lipstick, it can enhance the natural beauty of your lips.

How Long Does Lip Blush Take?

The duration of a lip blush tattooing session can vary depending on the individual artist’s

technique and the complexity of the design. Typically, the entire process can take anywhere

from 3 to 3.5 hours. This includes the initial consultation, numbing, designing the lips, and the actual tattooing process. It’s important to note that the time frame may vary and that the artist may break the process down into multiple sessions to ensure the best results.

Can I Get Lip Blush Tattooing Done When I'm Pregnant?
